\n\t Sometimes you might want to lower the cost of a renewal (either permanently, or for one or more cycles). Unfortunately it\u2019s not possible to do this with PayPal subscriptions, but it is possible with Stripe subscriptions.<\/p>\n

\n\t To lower the cost, you\u2019ll create a coupon in Stripe, and apply it to the Stripe subscription for your customer(s) you wish to lower the renewal cost for.<\/p>\n

\n\t In the steps below, we\u2019ll walk through how to give a customer a $25 USD discount per month indefinitely on their Stripe subscription.<\/p>\n

\u00c9tape 1 : Connectez-vous \u00e0 Stripe.com et cr\u00e9ez le coupon<\/h3>\n

\n\t In your Stripe.com dashboard click on Products > Coupons:<\/p>\n

\n\t <\/p>\n

\n\t Then select \u201c+ NEW\u201d button to add a new coupon:<\/p>\n

Step 2: Locating Member\u2019s Subscription<\/h3>\n

\n\t The first thing you will need to do is search for the subscription within the MemberPress >\u00a0Subscriptions tab. Once you find the subscription you\u2019re after, you will need to copy its Number (cus_xxxx or sub_xxxx) which is shown here as an example:<\/p>\n

\n\t Next, you will want to login to Stripe and paste that number into the search bar. Once it\u2019s located, click on it as shown below:<\/p>\n

\n\t On the subscription overview page that appears, you\u2019ll next click \u201cUpdate Subscription\u201d:<\/p>\n

\n\t Then locate the \u201cAdd Coupon\u201d link under the Pricing section:<\/p>\n

\n\t Recherchez votre coupon :<\/p>\n

\n\t <\/p>\n

\n\t Select the coupon you want to apply, and click \u201cUpdate Subscription\u201d. You\u2019ll note that it shows the cost of the next invoice below:<\/p>\n

\n\tIf you\u2019re just giving a 1 or 2 month discount, then you probably don\u2019t need to do this step. But if you\u2019re planning on the discount being permanent, then it might be good to edit the subscription in MemberPress and lower its price.<\/p>\n

\n\tFind the subscription in MemberPress > Subscriptions page and click \u201cEdit\u201d under its number:<\/p>\n

\n\tThat\u2019s it<\/strong>, you\u2019ve done it! Stripe will now bill the customer the lower amount each month now that you\u2019ve applied the coupon to this subscription. If you followed step 4, the customer will see the lower amount in their Subscriptions tab on their Account as well.<\/p>\n

\n\t Remarque :\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0PayPal doesn\u2019t allow for changing the price of a subscription so there isn\u2019t a way to add a discount to a subscription in PayPal if the user signed up through that gateway.
